"Hey", Catherine said unzipping the leather glove on her right hand. "Let me try something." She peeled the glove off.
Natsumi's sleepy eyes fixated on her hand. It was glowing a bright golden color not unlike the jellyfish swimming around in the sky. Not unlike the energy that flowed through herself -- a waning light now that she was exhausted.
"Yeah, like wha..." Natsumi began. She interrupted herself with a sudden gasp. Catherine took a hold of her hand, and Natsumi's entire body bolted upright. An electrical current, a fire coursed through her body. She felt herself sizzling from the inside out as a surge of energy pulsed deep within her. Her calves tensed. Her eyes rolled back into her head. She wanted to sneeze. She was about to lose control.
